About US

At the East End Rowing Institute we strive to grow the sport of rowing in our community. Based out of our new home at 30 McDermott Avenue in the heart of Riverhead, NY and pushing off from our floating dock on the Peconic River, we are ideally located to provide an excellent rowing experience for everyone in Eastern Long Island.

We offer Learn to Row programs for children and adults alike, and we are honored to work with local schools and recreation programs.

The East End Rowing Institute is a fully insured IRS certified 501c3 nonprofit organization and is also a member of the USRowing Association.

Our Fleet

The EERI maintains a fleet of boats for member use consisting of:

safe and stable open water singles for learning
racing singles (1x)
racing doubles (2x)
racing quads (4x)
bow-coxed fours (4+)

The club also provides a selection of Concept2 and WinTech oars for members to use while rowing, as well as Concept2 Model D ergometers.

Many club members ultimately purchase their own boats and some prefer to store their boats at the club house for simple access to the Peconic River.
